Madison + Matt Charleston Wedding

There is something so special about Charleston, SC…

I actually grew up going to Charleston a lot for beach trips or just trips to walk down King Street. That was when my plan was to never leave Tennessee, but now I live only a few hours away and my dream is photograph all the weddings there!

We have family that I always stay with when working in Charleston, such a blessing. That is how this magical wedding weekend started.

I drove down with one of my dear friends, and second shooter, with all the rode trip snacks and Ben Rector inspo music to get us pumped up for Maddie and Matt’s day.

Their rehearsal dinner took place at sunset along the water. Everyone was watching the ships doc, and I walked down there before people arrived to soak it all in.

The dinner was full of yummy food, tears and laughter. They felt like family at the end of that one night, so we woke up the next day and were SO excited to share even more special moments.

From getting ready in her bridal cottage, to sunset portraits along the river, their wedding would have taken your breath away. They got married in a church that was on the same road as the house from the Notebook, so I was on cloud nine!

They did a first touch and left in a decked out monster truck! My favorite part was the choreographed dance with Madison and her dad. SO FUN!
